A sad loss for Somenos. Nils Hoeg was a very early member of the Board of Directors for the SMWS. He helped establish the sound fiscal management that we still operate under today. His opinions were strong, intelligently delivered and were always of great value in our decision making process. He will be missed. The SMWS sends its condolences to his wife Audrey and their extended family

Nils passed away April 16 in 100 Mile Hospital following a long struggle with cancer.
SOMENOS MARSH WILDLIFE SOCIETY 2012 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING NOTICE
Dear Members and Friends of Somenos
The 2012 Somenos Marsh Wildlife Society AGM is scheduled for Wednesday May 16th at the Island Savings Centre Nitinat room starting at 7pm.
At this meeting we will be presenting our annual report of 2011 activities and projects, our 2011 annual financial report, our newly competed Strategic Plan and, to improve our Board of Directors sustainability, we will be putting forth a motion for membership approval to change our ByLaws re length of terms for elected Directors. The above documents will be posted on the website shortly.
Each member will be receiving a letter in the next few days with the Notice of AGM and your annual renewal notice . We hope that you can attend and listen to our presentations.
