Volunteers needed for Bird boxes, Trail maintenance and Painting Print E-mail
Wednesday, 05 August 2009
From President Paul Fletcher:

We are having a workparty day this Saturday. We will be meeting at the Open Air Classroom at 9am.

Derrick Marven will arrive at 9:30 to direct those who will be emptying nest boxes. Tall step ladders will be very useful.

If we have enough people then we will dispatch a lively group to the south end where we will attack the encroaching vegetation along our south end trail. Last year we never got to the end. This year he hope we can. Weed whippers with blades, large brush clippers etc will be needed for this project.

And if the troops are out in force, we may be applying linseed oil to the front fence.

There is always room for porters , garbage pickers, small shrub clipper people so all are welcome.

Come on out, meet new people and have some fun.
