Somenos Marsh Wildlife Society President, Paul Fletcher, was canoeing in the Marsh following the most recent rains. He comments, "The flooding has covered our boardwalk with only the top 1 foot showing but it has not moved or been affected so far. Then Drinkwater dock is floating higher than the walkway out to it but is still undamaged by the flood waters. The lake and fields are now covered with garbage including 3- 45 gal drums that were seen floating. We are considering building a winter canal system since it worked so well for the canoe this time."
