Make a deer hide drum in this small group session in the Cowichan Valley Arts Council’s studio. Led by Hwiemtun (Fred Roland) a popular local teacher, the group will receive all the precut materials and hear about the traditions behind the drumming. Hwiemtun’s connection to the spirit world, passion for storytelling and love of sharing diverse traditions of indigenous knowledge, has made it possible for him to bridge many worlds.
