The event will take place at the Somenos Garry Oak Protected Area (MAP).

At this event, you will have the opportunity to join SMWS staff to do some invasive plant removal (Blackberry, Scotch broom, English Hawthorne) to protect the native plants and wildflowers and help them thrive in this protected area.

Bring your favorite gloves and clippers if you have any, but we will have some available for you. Please bring your own water, and we will supply some snacks and coffee for a midway break where we will relax and talk about the local ecology. We look forward to seeing you out there!
