Join us for a day packed with fun and friendly competition as two teams take on the challenge of counting as many bird species as possible in our beautiful Important Bird Areas: Cowichan Bay and S'amunu Conservation Area.

Led by local bird experts, this event is perfect for everyone—no experience needed! So grab your binoculars, spotting scopes, or cameras and let’s get counting!

We’ll kick things off at 8:45 AM. The Somenos team will be gathering at the Somenos Dog Park on Beverly Street. Come join the bird-watching adventure—who knows what incredible species we’ll spot together?
