Invasive Removal and Maintenance

  • 2355 Beverly St Duncan, BC, V9L 2Z7 Canada (map)

Maintenance of previous planting sites is integral for the success of any restoration project and usually includes continued invasive removal, pruning, managing pests, and replacing plants. For this event, we will focus on removing the regrowth of the invasive Himalayan blackberry on a riparian restoration site along Somenos Creek which was initially planted in 2022.

We will meet at the Somenos Dog Park on Beverly Street at 9:30 am and then walk over to the restoration site as a group. Please wear weather-appropriate clothing that you won’t mind getting a little dirty, gloves and tools will be provided. We look forward to working with you.
