We have been working along Somenos Creek for many years now to improve and increase the Riparian area by planting native trees and shrubs. Increasing the riparian area improves runoff filtration, shading of the creek and diversity of habitats. This work is aimed at improving water quality and reducing the growth of parrot’s feather in order to provide better habitat for salmon and other fish.
