After a career in education and the accidental first-time sighting in 2004 of a Northern Shoveler Duck, Mike Yip’s obsession into birding and bird photography was launched. Since then, he has written many bird articles and self-published 6 books on Vancouver Island birds and nature. Mike’s presentation will focus on tips for beginning birders and bird photographers including what birds are seen on Vancouver Island, when and where to look for them, and basic tips on how to capture great bird photos.
